No, but you must provide confirmation of adequate stable income to service the loan, and for this you will need to have the correct visa to legally be working in New Zealand.

Yes, as a responsible lender, all our loans are assessed for affordability. We look at income against outgoings and what is leftover as the surplus. However normal lending criteria applies, all loans are subject to usual credit checks in making the lending decision.

A clean credit history/report helps you to get a lower interest rate. If you have had any bad debts against your name it helps if these are now paid or at the very least, under some payment arrangement.
